Atlanta (CNN) — Former NBA star Allen Iverson launched an expletive-ridden tirade against police when a car belonging to him was pulled over for a traffic violation last week……..
“Take the vehicle, I have 10 more,” Iverson said, according to the report. “Police don’t have anything else (expletive) to do except (expletive) with me.” He then asked, “Do you know who I am?”
lol usually i dont post shit about the train wreck that is allen iverson, because, well it’s some pretty sad shit, but i couldnt ignore this one, even if he is my favorite player of all time…
– his disdain for police equals mine and i can respect that ……
– saying “do you know who i am?!!?!?!” never seems to end well does it lol
Here’s the rest of the story here.
Problem: I stole this highlight mix from some dude named wetunga. The highlights are great but the music doesn’t quite fit in my book.
Solution: Put the youtube shit on mute and enjoy that CNN “Invincible” instead….When the songs over just press play again….
This will be the first NBA season since 1995 that the Allen Iverson will not be on a NBA roster. He was always one to electrify fans, defy odds, terrorize defenders and coaches (sometimes his own). Love him or hate him you can’t deny his heart and his ability to score.
G’town great, Sixer legend, NBA MVP and pound for pound the greatest scorer ever…..
You won’t find a bigger AI fan on the planet (seriously try and find one, it’s not possible), but when no team picked him up, I couldn’t have been anymore happier. His legacy has been taking serious hits the past couple of years….
Shouts to the commish..
Just wanted to give a shout out to all MCCXXIII-2 representatives. I’ll enjoy owning each and everyone of you.
“And with the last pick, I made the earth sick…..”
Hit the bungee for all the players that should have been drafted.
Tonight at 8 PM on ESPN the 30 for 30 series continues with No Crossover: The Trial of Allen Iverson.
On Valentine’s Day 1993, 17-year-old Bethel High School basketball star Allen Iverson was bowling in Hampton, Va., with five high school friends. It was supposed to be an ordinary evening, but it became a night that defined Iverson’s young life. A quarrel soon erupted into a brawl pitting Iverson’s young black friends against a group of white patrons. The fallout from the fight and the handling of the subsequent trial landed the teenager—considered by some the nation’s best high school athlete—in jail and sharply divided the city along racial lines. Oscar nominee Steve James (“Hoop Dreams”) returns to his hometown of Hampton, where he once played basketball, to take a personal look at this still-disputed incident and examine its impact on Iverson and the shared community.
Being one of the biggest AI fans anyone will ever meet this particularly interest me. If you haven’t checked out the 30 for 30 series yet, I suggest you check out The U (one of my favorite documentaries ever).
