The first time we heard Ash rock over a Chuck beat was in 2008 when The Greenhouse Effect mixtape was released and the remix to ‘Black Mags’ was recorded. Here we are now, both artists have released albums since then, and what a better time for the two to team up and create new material. When Chuck first sent this song over to us, we knew a video had to be shot immediately. From kitchen to kitchen, we ran around New York City creating the above visual which we find as the perfect representation to the bass heavy banger. before i get alot of hate for this, let me go on record to say im one of the biggest neptunes, pharrell, chad hugo, n.e.r.d fans out there…..but with game’s r.e.d album being shelved (executive produced by pharrell) and asher roth’s spaghetti tree album (all produced by guess who?) scrapped and each n.e.r.d album since fly or die getting progressively worse, it’s safe to say that they just dont have it anymore…..its cool to see kendrick get support from all over, but lets hope this is a one or two song studio session and not some full out project…..but if this was ’02? shiiiiiiiiiiit id be geeked….
that song “rigamortous” that pharrell was raving about off section80? ive yet to sit through the track all the way through because three minutes in the beat loop is so annoying, i want to throw my ipod across the room….its literally my least favorite kendrick lamar track ever, and pharrell loves it……lets file that under “signs youve lost it”
